Summary
The true-life story of a Russian sniper in Stalingrad during WWII when the Germans attempted to invade the city. The heroic sniper kills many German officers until they send in their best sniper to track and kill the Russian marksman.
An unassuming Russian sharpshooter from the Urals who soon reveals his extraordinary skill in combat. Recognized for his propaganda appeal by a Soviet political officer, this simple soldier is built into a much-needed national hero. When the Germans send for their best sniper to hunt him down, each man stalks the other while countless men are dying all around them in the wreckage of Stalingrad.
