Published Reviews
Booklist Review: "In short, straightforward sentences, this volume in the Awesome Asian Animals series describes different types of camels found in Asia; a few key anatomical features, like their iconic humps, widespread toes, and prehensile lips; behavior and diet; and threats to wild Asian camel populations, such as hunters and pollution. Each chapter is focused on its topic and offers a few large-font sentences in accessible language on each page. Sizable, well-reproduced full-color photos of these fuzzy desert denizens appear on every spread, and while more labels or captions would have been helpful, the close-ups of personable camel faces are very appealing, particularly for emerging readers, who might get more out of browsing pictures than reading the sentences. In addition to the usual back matter, a URL directs readers to a site listing helpful web resources.--Hunter, Sarah Copyright 2015 Booklist"
