Booklist Review:
"Kristi Stewart has recently inherited the McLane House, a bed-and-breakfast, from her favorite uncle and has returned to Savannah to manage it. Dallas Wicker has been assigned by the Krewe of Hunters, the secret paranormal investigative unit propelling Graham's long-running, megapopular series, to scrutinize a series of suspicious deaths and disappearances that have taken place nearby. Kristi and Dallas meet when her first encounter with a ghost propels her down the stairs, out the door, and right into a collision with Dallas. There doesn't seem to be a link between the disappearances and the deaths, but strange things keep happening and they seem to center around the history of McLane House. When one of Kristi's current guests, an up-and-coming young actor, persuades her to let him film a séance in the parlor, the pace quickens as the clues start to add up. Graham strikes a fine balance between romantic suspense and a gothic ghost story in her latest Krewe of Hunters tale, which should please admirers of Nora Roberts' ventures into the paranormal.HIGH-DEMAND BACKSTORY: A substantial print run and PR effort to match will rally Graham's many, always-eager Krewe fans.--C.
