Dallas Wicker has been assigned by the Krewe of Hunters, the secret paranormal investigative unit propelling Graham's long-running, megapopular series, to scrutinize a series of suspicious deaths and disappearances that have taken place nearby. Kristi and Dallas meet when her first encounter with a ghost propels her down the stairs, out the door, and right into a collision with Dallas. There doesn't seem to be a link between the disappearances and the deaths, but strange things keep happening and they seem to center around the history of McLane House.
